The Benefits of Using EMF Paint in Your Home or Office

As technology continues to advance, so does our exposure to electromagnetic field (EMF) radiation. This type of radiation is emitted by electronic devices and can potentially harm our health. What is EMF radiation?

Electromagnetic fields (EMF) radiation is a type of energy that is emitted by electronic devices such as cell phones, LED bulbs, laptops, electrical wiring, power lines, Wi-Fi routers, and many more. It is a byproduct of the energy used by all of these devices. These devices have only been around 130 years or so, and are quite different from natural, healthy radiation like sunlight or the earth's magnetic field.

What is EMF paint and how does it work?

EMF paint is a special formulation of paint that is electrically conductive and can reflect or conduct electromagnetic radiation. When applied to walls, ceilings, or other surfaces, the paint creates a barrier that prevents EMF radiation from passing through. This effect can help reduce the amount of EMF radiation in your home or office, which will improve your health and well-being.

It works very well against microwave radiation (5G, cell phones, Bluetooth, WiFi), as well as AC electric fields (electrical wiring and devices).

The paint will reflect microwave signals away.

When grounded to the electrical system, or a rod in the soil, it will remove or 'drain' radiated AC electric fields away.

The paint is black in color, so for aesthetics and protection, it needs to be followed up with primer and color coats. Some popular paints can react poorly, so it is best to use a high-quality paint such as AFM Safecoat, which is engineered to be safe for those that are chemically sensitive.

Firstly, it can help reduce your exposure to harmful electromagnetic radiation, which has been linked to a range of health problems including cancer, infertility, and neurological disorders. How to tell where you should apply EMF paint

To correctly apply the paint, you first need to know what sources you are trying to block. A quality RF meter is required, and here is one that I like. Depending upon how many sources you find, and where they are, you may need to shield multiple areas of your room, either completely (all walls, ceilings, floors, windows, doors) or partially (just on the side facing the source of radiation. It's also very important to limit the amount of wireless inside any room or area that is shielded with EMF paint. Otherwise, the shield will work against you and make your exposure worse! How to apply EMF paint and where to purchase

Applying EMF paint is similar to applying regular paint. It can be applied to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using a roller, brush or even sprayed. I've posted a comprehensive video on applying it correctly below.

The most important tip for a successful application

is to read the manufacturer's application instructions carefully.

Other application tips

Mask off everything really well. ALL surfaces, air vents, light fixtures, electrical outlets and switches, windows and any areas not getting painted. Poly-backed tarps are best.
Anyone in the paint area should have a respirator mask, plus eye protection and a tyvek suit.
Mix the paint and grounding additive thoroughly until it is smoother than applesauce. This can take 5-10 minutes.
Rolling and brushing the paint is recommended.
If spraying, use a large bore nozzle, appropriate for latex.
It’s best to immediately roll over the sprayed area.
Allow paint to fully cure then test with multimeter per manufacturer recommendation.

My preferred brand is RF Eco-Paint from Safe Living Technologies. Make sure you also properly ground the paint, as described in the manufacturer's instructions. To do that, you'll need 1 bottle of grounding additive per gallon, and 1 grounding kit per room.

How to shield windows from EMF

The size of EMF waves for cell towers, and WiFi are very small, so windows and doors must be addressed as well. Here are two options to complete your shield by addressing windows

* Clear shielding window film

* Shielding fabric for curtains

How much does it cost to shield from EMF?

It depends upon the square footage you are shielding. Here are the current general prices for materials only, and will help you estimate the cost for your project.

*Shielding paint is ~$120/gallon and covers ~340 square feet. You will need 1, and possibly 2 coats depending on how strong the source is you want to block, and how thick and even you apply the first coat. Then primer and color coats.

*Window shielding film is ~ $10/square foot

*Shielding fabric is ~$4.75 (8.2x1.0’)
