Is WiFi Going to Kill Me?

Did you know that living near a wireless base station, like a wifi router, greatly increases your chance of developing the following detrimental symptoms?

-headache

-memory changes

-dizziness

-tremors

-depressive symptoms

-sleep disturbances



Nobody I know wants to experience symptoms like those! Even more concerning, the $30 million National Toxicology Program studies published in 2018 took more than 10 years to complete and are the most comprehensive assessment, to date, of health effects from wireless radiation like that from a router or cell phone, also known as RFR. They found “clear evidence that male rats exposed to…RFR like that used in 2G and 3G cell phones developed cancerous heart tumors…There was also some evidence of tumors in the brain and adrenal gland[s]…”

Keep in mind that 2G and 3G cell phones are dinosaurs now, and current radiation and frequency levels from cell phones are even higher today with 4G, LTE, 5G, and an ever increasing number of cell towers in the environment.

Take these simple steps to scan your home or office for levels of this ghostly toxin.

-Download an app for your phone that will display relative signal strength in dBm (decibel milliwatts). It’s not important to understand the term in great detail. Just know that it will be useful in comparing signals and deciding which ones are too strong and need to be addressed.

For iPhone, use “Airport Utility”, toggle the ‘Wi-Fi Scanner’ feature in app settings to ‘ON’

For Android, use “WiFi Analyser”

-Once you have the app up and running, scan your common areas of use: the office, bedroom, living room, backyard etc…You will see a readout like this:



We are interested in the dBm number. But first, a quick note about dBm levels- they are a logarithmic scale.. Every 10dB decrease represents a signal that is 100x weaker, every 20dB decrease represents a signal that is 1000x weaker, and so on. So a signal rated at -20dB is 100x weaker than a signal rated at -10dB. Got it?! A reading of 0 to -30 means you are pretty much standing right next to the source, like a WiFi router. Surpisingly, -67 is enough to do common tasks on the internet such as stream a movie.

-To reduce your exposure to this wireless poison, be concerned about any devices listed that are -70 or higher (closer to zero). Most homes or offices these days have around 10-20 wireless devices per person. Our goal here is to be aware of anything higher than -70, and find ways to move such devices further away from people, or eliminate (leave on a power strip, turned off, until needed, switch out for a non-wireless version, or switch to an ethernet-based connection).

-Creating more distance, less exposure time, and fewer # of devices are the keys to avoiding bad outcomes like those mentioned at the top of this blog.


Please note, the apps listed above are only scanning your WiFi related wireless radiation.
